When it comes to the Turing Scheme, we understand you will probably have a few questions. To make your life easier, we have compiled our most frequently asked questions about the scheme and how we support it.

We’re closing our Turing Scheme support on February 28th so now is the time to register your interest. The scheme is not guaranteed to run next year, so it’s important to act now if you’re interested.

What is the Turing Scheme?

Turing Scheme is a social mobility fund that enables students to travel abroad to develop and enhance skills, gain international experience and boost employability. There are 3 strands of funding – schools, Further Education and Higher education.  Schools funding is where we specialise and we can offer some support with Further education.

How does the Global School Alliance support?

We offer support with the application process and running of subsequent trips as part of a wider partnership programme. Our previous application success rate is over 98%. Not only do we support the application but also the development of your long-term partnership and your trip when it comes around.

Can the Global School Alliance find me a partner school?

Yes! Our Turing Scheme application support falls into our wider programmes that facilitate partnerships between schools. Not only can we help to create a partnership, but we can also enhance existing partnerships.

Can I still apply for the scheme if I have an existing school partnership?

Yes! We don’t just help you to create new partnerships, we can help you enhance your existing link. Through our support and expertise, we can make sure both schools get the optimum results from the partnership as well as helping to organise an effective trip.

How much will the Global School Alliance support cost?

Our Turing Scheme support is included in both our Sister School and Global School Transformation programmes; both of which facilitate long-term partnerships and have many benefits outside of just the Turing Scheme support. The cost for Sister School is currently £2,200 increasing to £2,400 from February 28th. Our Global School Transformation flat fee is currently £3,250 increasing to £3,500 from February 28th. The cost for both of these programmes is fully reimbursable when we run your trip, the upfront cost is the commitment to the support and long-term help for developing partnerships.

How much will it cost students?

The Turing Scheme funding is a contribution made towards schools to make international mobility more accessible. On average, the funding will cover around 80% of costs with the remaining 20% to be covered by parents or other funding sources.
