UK-China Sister School Partnerships

The Global School Alliance has been actively supporting and strengthening links between the UK and China through the Sister School Partnerships programme since 2011. Over the years we have worked closely with local councils and the Education Bureau, offering support and guidance to help schools initiate, develop and maintain successful school partnerships.

That’s why we’re proud to be supporting schools in regions across the UK and are investing over £100,000 to provide life-changing opportunities for students and educators that will foster cultural awareness, global competence and interpersonal skills.

What is the Sister School Partnerships programme?

The Sister School Partnerships programme is a long-term relationship between two partner schools, consisting of immersive bilateral student exchanges, delegations and teacher training trips, meaningful joint projects, online collaborations and curriculum enrichment.

Register your interest

This includes:

  • A fully supported Sister School Partnership, including an Account Manager and digital project space
  • Funding for a school leader to embark on a Leadership Delegation to visit the partner school in China
  • Opportunity to host partner school and wider groups as part of a whole school cultural immersion to raise funds (up to £4,000)

As a school, you can choose to access funding to join a fully supported partnership, or engage in a whole school cultural immersion.
