The Blue Coat School has signed a Sister School Partnership agreement with Jinrui School Shanghai.
On the 25th anniversary year between the twinned cities Liverpool and Shanghai, The Blue Coat School becomes one of the first schools to benefit from the Global School Alliance’s city region campaign to give young learners a wide range of opportunities to explore the rich and diverse Chinese culture.
Headteacher Kevin Sexton said: “In an ever-globalizing world, the exchange of ideas, cultures, and experiences is more important than ever.
“Partnerships like ours provide a unique opportunity to enrich the educational experience for our students and staff alike.
“This collaboration with Jin Rui is not just about learning new academic skills or knowledge; it is about fostering relationships, building understanding, and promoting mutual respect between our two schools, cultures, and nations.
“When students and teachers from different backgrounds come together, they form bonds that last a lifetime. These connections are the seeds of understanding, tolerance, and global citizenship. They prepare our students to be the leaders of tomorrow, equipped with the skills and perspectives to navigate an increasingly interconnected world.”
