Since joining the Alliance last year, Bow School has developed a wide range of opportunities for its pupils to understand, explore and engage with the wider world.

In January, the school welcomed 21 students from Beijing, along with their teachers Mr. Sun, Ms. Zhou, and Ms. Li, as part of the Be Proud to Host programme, facilitated by the Global School Alliance. The visitors experienced life at Bow, enjoying new subjects with their buddies and exploring a new culture.

Following the impact of this experience, Bow School has developed its international links and established a Sister School Partnership with Yinzhou Senior School in Ningbo, China.

Robert Evans, Associate Assistant Headteacher, and his colleague Katarzyna Franas, EAL (English as Additional Language) Lead Teacher, met their Chinese school online for the online signing ceremony.

On establishing this partnership, Robert said: “At Bow School, we believe in nurturing not just students, but future leaders who are prepared to make their mark on the world.”

He added: “As we embark on this exciting new partnership, I am filled with optimism about the possibilities that lie ahead. By joining forces, we can create even more meaningful opportunities for our students, open up their world and knowledge in a way that will benefit both communities. Together, we can build bridges that will help our students cross confidently into their futures.”
